Cleveland Paramedic Charged with Theft Cries in Court

CLEVELAND --

Cleveland police said an EMS paramedic stole a credit card from an elderly woman and then racked up more than $1,000 in charges.

Tiffany Forte, 32, cried in court on Monday. She is charged with theft.

NewsChannel5 learned that Forte was transferring the 84-year-old to Euclid General Hospital June 3, when she allegedlly reached into her purse and grabbed the card.

The seven-year EMS employee was suspended without pay.
