Broken Down Texas Medical Helicopter Towed Off Freeway

HOUSTON --
A medical helicopter had to be towed off a freeway after it broke down while picking up a patient, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Stafford police said a man crashed his car on the Southwest Freeway at Wilcrest Drive late Tuesday.
A Life Flight helicopter went to the scene to transport the man to the hospital. He was loaded into the helicopter, but it couldn't take off.
The man was put into an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital. His condition was not released.
Officials have not said what prevented the helicopter from taking off.
