Car Crashes Into Ga. Chinese Restaurant; 9 Injured
SNELLVILLE, Ga. --
Nine people were injured when a woman crashed her car into a busy Chinese restaurant Friday, Gwinnett County fire officials said.
It happened at the Hot N Cold Chinese Buffet in the 2300 block of East Main Street in Snellville just before 12 p.m., Gwinnett County Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said.
Among the injured were employees, patrons and the driver of the vehicle. Officials said their injuries included cuts, scrapes and fractures.
Channel 2 Action News reporter Manuel Bojorquez was at the scene gathering details. Witnesses told Bojorquez that the driver, identified as Sharon Swafford, 58, may have had a seizure. Authorities haven't released information on what they believe may have caused the driver to crash.

Police said the driver was at a nearby Krystal's restaurant when she somehow accelerated across the street into the Chinese restaurant parking lot. Officials said the driver hit two parked cars before crashing into the restaurant.
