COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --

Firefighters said a lightning strike injured a paintball player on a hilltop near Schriever Air Force Base.

Ellicott firefighters said a man in his 20s was hit Saturday afternoon as he played at Dragon Man's Paintball Park. Five other people were on the hill with him, but he was the only one injured.

Firefighters said paintball players including several soldiers rushed to help the man, who was flown to a Denver hospital.

Details of his condition weren't available.

A paintball park worker who wouldn't give her name said the man was breathing when he was taken to the hospital.
