Crash Injures Five Teens in Pennsylvania
PITTSBURGH --
Five teenagers were hurt early Saturday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Pine Township, emergency dispatch workers said.
The crash happened at about 1:21 a.m. at the intersection of Wexford Road and Irwin Road.
Investigators said police in Hampton Township tried to make a traffic stop because of a possible DUI.
Police pursued the vehicle into Pine Township, where the car overturned.
Five people were in the car. They were between the ages of 14 and 16 years old.
Two people were ejected.
Three were taken to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children's Hospital. Two others were taken to Allegheny General Hospital.
The victims' conditions were not available.
Route 910 was closed for about seven hours while police investigated the cause of the crash.
