Four Medical Choppers Dispatched to Pennsylvania Crash

BOGGS TOWNSHIP, Pa. --

Emergency responders have confirmed with WJAC-TV that five people were hurt in a serious head-on collision near Milesburg on Friday evening.

According to members of the Milesburg Fire Department, four medical choppers were called to Route 144 in Boggs Township shortly before 7 p.m.

Authorities said two people were flown in critical condition to Geisinger Hospital in Danville, two others were flown in critical condition to Hershey.

A fifth crash victim was taken by ambulance to Mount Nittany Medical Center in moderate condition.

A section of Route 144 was closed for about 90 minutes.

First responders said it was unclear what caused the crash on the curvy, steep section of road.
