Injured Ohio Prisoner Carried to Ambulance on Sheet
CINCINNATI --
Cincinnati police officers got a workout from their capture of a burglary suspect.
Police said the man was trying to steal tires from a Madisonville shop when officers responded to a burglary call just before 1 a.m.
The man fled into nearby woods, and officers, joined by a K-9 unit, gave chase.
The police dog eventually caught the man in the woods, but the man fought the dog, forcing officers to shock him several times with a Taser gun.
After the man was handcuffed, officers realized they were too far into the woods to bring a stretcher to him. So a half dozen officers put the man on a sheet and carried him to the ambulance.
The man's name has not been released. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
