Firehouse Run Survey: The Country's Busiest Departments and Ambulances
Courtesy of Firehouse Magazine, EMS World presents the 2019 Firehouse National Run Survey—a comprehensive report of fire company and department levels, funding, staffing, and pay for 209 fire departments that took part in its most recent survey.
According to Firehouse, the departments represented in this latest survey protect more than 80 million people and have budgets totaling more than $17 billion. They provide the services with 3,375 engine companies, 1,266 ladder companies, 1,730 ambulances, and numerous specialized units. They responded to nearly 1.5 million fire calls, more than 9.5 million EMS calls, and approximately 12.5 million total calls in 2019.

One would think with over 2 MM ambulance calls that FDNY would have the most ambulances?? Your list shows LA with 134 what's with that.?
FDNY also has more than 3,000 EMTs&Paramedics. You may consider updating your charts.
