EMS EXPO 2004: Defining Excellence in EMS Education
With attendees coming from all 50 states and representing 37 foreign countries, EMS EXPO 2004 was one of the most successful EMS gatherings ever held. Sponsored by Emergency Medical Services Magazine, the annual conference was held October 19–23 in Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. The final number of attendees totaled 4,665. EMS EXPO offered more than 125 sessions and workshops, while the exhibit hall featured the largest collection of EMS vendors ever assembled in over 200,000 square feet of space. This was the second year EMS EXPO hosted the “EMS Partnership for Progress,” which featured the annual meetings for both the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the American Ambulance Association (AAA). Here are some highlights from the show.
