Rosetta, CAREpoint and M Series Interoperability

A recent agreement between ZOLL Medical Corporation and General Devices will provide interoperability between ZOLL’s M Series monitor and General Devices’ Rosetta communications interfaces and CAREpoint EMS Workstation. Interoperability between these systems will allow medics to send 12-lead ECGs and other physiologic information from the ZOLL monitor over analog and digital radios, as well as cellphones, directly to General Devices’ Rosetta Rx Receiving Station or CAREpoint EMS Workstation. Using the Rosetta-Lt communications interface, a 12-lead ECG can be sent in approximately one minute on a standard VHF or UHF radio. Once received by the CAREpoint EMS Workstation, ECGs and other data are presented on a large-screen display, automatically archived on the call log, and available for printout or subsequent transmission to a cath lab, cardiology or physician’s office. These same abilities will be incorporated in the EMS Telemedicine system under development at General Devices. All abovementioned features pending FDA listing.
