Numinus Wellness Launches Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Training Certification Program
Numinus Wellness announced on Monday that it is launching a certification pathway of psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) training courses to provide practitioners with “complete PAT training, including an experiential component and practicum.”
Prior to the announcement of the certification pathway, Numinus began offering practitioner training courses in the fall of 2022. To date, more than 200 practitioners have completed the courses, according to Numinus founder and CEO Payton Nyquvest.
The Numinus Certification Pathway will develop core skills through multimodal teaching methods that include interactive evidence and theory reviews, audio-visual design, case-based learning, experiential learning, and in-person shadowing opportunities. The training includes the following 4 courses, which run from 4 hours to 8 weeks in length:
- Fundamentals of Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy;
- Applied Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy: Cases, Conditions, and Context;
- Molecular Foundations of Ketamine, MDMA, and Psilocybin; and
- Practical Applications: Experiential Learning and Practicum
Practitioners who complete all course requirements will receive a certificate from Numinus to designate competency in providing psychedelic-assisted therapy using specific medicines.
Courses have an average of 30 spaces available for practitioners, and registrations are now being accepted for the 8-week Fundamentals course, the most popular class within the program. Sessions for the Fundamentals course, which will be conducted over a video conference platform, will begin in May.
