Casinos highlight responsible gaming education week
Under the theme “All in for Responsible Gaming,” the American Gaming Association (AGA) and the National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) are teaming to present the 15th Responsible Gaming Education Week to highlight that responsible gaming is not just a casino issue, but a community issue.
The NCRG has released a new research-based guidebook and fact sheet for human resources and employee assistance professionals that answers frequently asked questions about gambling disorders and responsible gaming and serves as a useful resource for assisting employees.
Among the self-assessment and self-help tools noted in these resources are two from the Cambridge Health Alliance: The Brief Addiction Science Information Source (BASIS) and The Brief Biosocial Gambling Screen.
