Addiction Campuses Names Morgan as its New CEO

Addiction Campuses has announced that its board of directors has named Matt Morgan as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Morgan, who succeeds founder Brent Clements as CEO, brings nearly 10 years of executive experience in the healthcare sector to Addiction Campuses, having served as CEO of Dental Services Group, a dental laboratory company, as well as senior vice president of operations for Amedisys, a standalone home health and hospice organization. Morgan has also served as president and general manager of AseraCare Home Health & Hospice and vice president of operations for Baylor HealthCare System. He has also founded and sold a pair of private startups.

At Addiction Campuses, Morgan will oversee the Nashville-based company’s overall strategy and growth plan. Addiction Campuses operates drug and alcohol treatment facilities in Mississippi, Texas, Ohio and Massachusetts, with mobile assessment units in 20 states.

“I look forward to continuing to build upon the great foundation of quality care that has led Addiction Campuses since its founding,” Morgan said in a news release. “Former CEO Brent Clements did a great job in growing this company and achieving success very quickly. Moving forward, we will ensure Addiction Campuses thrives and grows significantly in an evidence-based, outcomes-driven, payor-influenced world and remains grounded in high quality care and enhanced through technology.”

Clements, who founded Addiction Campuses in 2014, will remain with the company as a shareholder. He was named a Behavioral Healthcare Champion in 2017 and was recognized at the 2017 National Conference on Addiction Disorders.
