New program offers opiate addiction treatment

New Frontier Recovery Centers (Deltona, Fla.) joined the treatment community in November but will officially be welcomed into the community in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Owned by two registered nurses -- Virginia Latimer and Lisa Huser -- the center addresses opiate addiction for individuals through outpatient treatment and Suboxone. 

The plan is to expand services early this year to address all types of substance abuse through an intensive outpatient substance abuse program (IOP).
