With regard to: Boyar V. Debridement: when, how, and why? Wound Manag Prev. 2021;10:11–14: The author of this article discusses cutting Debrisoft. That is something the manufacturer educates against so that fibers do not shed into the wound.

Thank you,

In this case, the size of the neonatal wound made a smaller size of Debrisoft easier to work with. In addition, I have seen no side effects in my practice with a smaller size, including no visible fibers from the pad. Despite that, I would like to emphasize that the Debrisoft manufacturer does not recommend cutting the product in order to avoid pad fibers contaminating the wound.
