Mission Statement
- To advance the science and art of wound, ostomy, incontinence, and skin care,
- To help authors clearly express and share their clinical findings and ideas, and
- To improve patient care by providing access to sound science and high-quality clinical content.
Aims & Scope
Wound Management & Prevention (WMP) is a peer-reviewed and indexed journal that focuses on clinical and bedside nursing practices for ostomies, wounds, incontinence, and related skin and nutritional nursing care.
Readership
Readers include health care professionals from various disciplines, but the journal's largest readership is among advanced practice nurses.
Publishing Schedule
WMP uses a continuous publication model, publishing articles online as soon as they are ready. For the calendar year 2023, articles are compiled into 4 print issues: March, May, September, and November. As of 2024, WMP will be transitioning to an all-digital publication.
Access/Fees
Articles are accessible online and are free to read. WMP does not charge submission or publication fees.
