Celebrate the AAWC’s 20th Anniversary at SAWC Spring

The AAWC 20th Anniversary Membership Meeting, Help Shape Our Field, will be held Friday, May 1, at 6 p.m.   This will be an interactive meeting where members will hear about the great strides the AAWC has made over the last 20 years. Shared news will include a discussion of the efforts of the AAWC, the Wound Healing Society, and many experts in the field to develop new clinical endpoints for wound care. In addition, there will be exciting announcements, including the presentation of the 2015 AAWC Distinguished Member Award.

Nonmembers are welcome. Light fare will be served, and a 20th Anniversary gift will be provided to members. Later in the evening, the AAWC 20th Anniversary Celebration will begin at 8:30 p.m. Special gifts will be provided. Enjoy door prizes, food, drinks, a DJ, dancing, and fun. The AAWC thanks the SAWC for sponsoring this delightful fiesta-style party.

AAWC Speakers Bureau Offers Qualified Presenters for Events

The AAWC is dedicated to bringing the best in wound and skin care education to conventions, conferences, corporate events, classrooms, career fairs, inservices, and more. The AAWC developed a select, growing Directory of Experts from diverse fields of health care — an experienced team of medical professionals who can provide excellence in wound care and related education, clinical practice, public policy, and research, as well as inspiration. From wound care basics to the most challenging of topics, each speaker delivers a tailored message.

AAWC Membership Benefits

Clients requiring speakers include health care conference organizers, and regional meeting planners or corporations, but also may include hospitals, other medical facilities, and institutions of higher learning. There is no cost to search the directory or to apply for a speaker. Speakers and clients are connected via the application process; logistical and financial arrangements (if applicable) are made between speaker and client. Please visit https://aawconline.org/wound-care-speakers-available/ to view the available speakers and get connected to the expert of choice.

AAWC Wound Care Glossary

The AAWC Wound Care Glossary is available on the AAWC website for public use. It is located in the professional resources section at https://aawconline.org/professional-resources/resources/. The evidenced-based, validated glossary provides 300+ wound care terms with definitions. This glossary has been designed to bring everyone to the same page on wound care terms.
