AAWC 2017 Board of Directors Elections begin in January

All members are asked to watch their inboxes beginning in January for information on the 2017 AAWC Board of Directors election. The AAWC Nominating Committee developed a slate of eligible candidates and cannot stress enough how important it is to take the time to vote. Please remember every vote counts and provides your chance to determine the future leadership of the organization. 

Elections close on February 2. Elected board members will attend biannual Board of Directors meetings at SAWC Spring and SAWC Fall. They will officially take office at the SAWC Spring AAWC Membership Meeting on April 7, 2017 in San Diego, CA. 

The 2017 AAWC Podium to Practice Track

The AAWC once again will have its own clinical practice track, AAWC Podium to Practice Track, for SAWC Spring. Join AAWC for these unprecedented sessions, which provide best practice tips that can be implemented immediately in your practice.

Some of the AAWC’s informative AAWC Podium to Practice Track sessions for 2017 include: Hot Off the Press: Best Kept Secrets from Wound Experts; Clinical Centers of Excellence — Tips and Pearls for Incorporating Research in Your Wound Care Practice; and The MIPS Survival Guide for Advanced Practitioners: It’s 2017 — Do You Know Where Your Revenue Is?

The Association’s program covers not only what to do to advance wound care as a professional practice and career, but it also empowers the learner with information about how to do it.

2017 AAWC Scholarship Program is open

The AAWC Scholarship Program for 2017 opened on January 1 and applications are being accepted through August 31. The Scholarship Program offers opportunities for members to obtain financial support for worthy endeavors that are in line with the organization’s mission. Please visit the AAWC website to learn more about this program and apply.
