A Retrograde Approach for CTO

A 71-year-old male presented with left leg claudication. He had an 80-pack-a-year smoking history and a left leg ABI of .5. A month before presentation, recanalization of a totally occluded external iliac from a contralateral as well as ipsilateral groin approach was attempted and failed. This video shows results of a successful subsequent recanalization using the pedal approach.
