Flash Ostial Device Deployment

Ostial calcific stenosis always poses a challenge. The eccentric crown of the orbital atherectomy device may result in less downstream large embolic debris. In a blog post by Drs. Heuser and Naqi in December 2014, they show with a case example that orbital atherectomy can be effective in cases where adequate preparation of the vessel is done prior to stenting. In the video below, the authors use the Flash device (Cardinal Health) for a calcific ostial lesion.
