Embolic Debris During Interventional Procedures

The occurrence of embolic debris is common during atherectomy. For the most part, embolic particles result in no immediate adverse clinical events or obvious angiographic findings and are generally regarded as benign, but whether they are benign remains to be established. Vascular specialists should be meticulous in their atherectomy technique because of this.
