Development of the Rapid Lysis Technique for Deep Vein Thrombosis

At the 2015 VEITH Symposium, Mark J. Garcia, MD, describes the way that he developed a pharmacomechanical thrombolysis technique that he calls the "rapid lysis technique." He began working with this technique in 1997. To apply the rapid lysis technique, the operator adds thrombolytic agent to the saline bag and connects it to the AngioJet system (Boston Scientific).
