Psych Congress 2022 Celebrates 35 Years of Delivering Practical Clinical Information

Psych Congress will celebrate 35 years of delivering practical, case-based education to psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mental health professionals, from September 17-20 in New Orleans, Louisiana. On August 16, 2022, event organizers released this video trailer as a teaser for the upcoming event.

As the largest independent mental health educational conference in the United States, Psych Congress is “a place to fill up on countless practical pearls to better personalize treatment strategies,” as well as “improve patient care,” event staff said.

The Congress agenda features over: 50 psychopharmacology-focused sessions, 55 internationally renowned faculty, 76 CME/CE credits, and 3000 attendees who are able to pick and choose their schedule to accommodate for what is most impactful for their own patients and clinical practice.

Some highlights from this year's agenda include the following sessions:

  • "2022 Featured Session: A Unified Vision for Transforming Mental Health and Substance Use Care" will be taking place on Sunday, September 18 at 6:30pm and includes the following panelists:
    • Tom Chiodo, executive producer, WETA, PCS-Youth Mental Health Crisis
    • Lisa Daily, executive director, Treatment Advocacy Center
    • Rick Keller, president, Peg's Foundation
    • Saul Levin, MD, CEO, medical director, American Psychiatric Association
    • Brandon Staglin, president, One Mind
    • Schroeder Stribling, president, CEO, Mental Health America
  • "Eric C. Arauz Memorial Keynote Address: Me2—Classical Music for Mental Health" taking place on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 4:45pm.
    • "Me2/ (“me, too”) is the world’s only classical music organization created for individuals with mental illnesses and the people who support them," the event agenda states.
