General
Q: What is the format of CIOctober and when will it take place?
A: CIOctober will be delivered as an online experience, taking place every Tuesday in October. Live content will be broadcast from 6:00 PM–10:00 PM ET on October 6, 13, and 20. Bonus on-demand content will be released on October 27.
The online experience will include practical IO presentations, case-based sessions, live panel discussions, audience Q&A, and opportunities for networking with colleagues and sponsors. All sessions will be available on-demand for 3 months after the event.
Q: Will the live meeting in Miami be rescheduled for this year?
A: No. CIO will now be an online experience throughout the month of October. We will gather again in-person for the 13th annual meeting taking place October 22-24 2021 at the Loews in Miami Beach, Florida.
Q: What is the program for the online meeting?
A: The CIO Course Directors and Faculty have developed an outstanding program for 2020. Please see the latest agenda for more information.
Q: What time zone will the virtual meeting take place in?
A: Eastern Time Zone.
Registration and Connectivity
Q: How do I register?

Q: I had previously registered for the CIO 2020 live event. What will happen to my registration?
A: If you were registered for the live meeting, you are automatically being re-registered for the online offering. We look forward to your participation in this exciting experience. For questions or more information, please contact registration@hmpglobal.com.
Q: What are my options if I registered for the live event and am unable to attend the online experience?
A: All sessions will be on-demand and available to you for 3 months. You can claim credit for all of the CME-accredited on-demand sessions.
If this option doesn’t suit you, be our guest next year! You’ll receive a voucher to attend CIO 2021, taking place October 22-24, 2021 at the Loews in Miami Beach, Florida.

Q: What kind of software will be required to view the sessions and interact with the experts?
A: CIOctober will be web-based, so all you will need is a computer/iPad/tablet or phone and an internet connection. Log-in instructions will be provided closer to the meeting.

Q: Will all sessions that were scheduled for the live meeting be presented at the virtual meeting?
A: For your optimal viewing experience, we’ve limited the live broadcast time each day and reformatted the program.
Q: Will I be able to watch recordings of the sessions being presented after the conference?
A: Yes, all sessions broadcast during the online event will be recorded and available for viewing after the conference.
Q: When will the live sessions be available for on demand?
A: The recordings of live sessions will be made available within 24 hours of the conclusion of the live broadcast that day. Check back on the session page for a link to the recording. You will have access to the all of the content for 3 months, earning up to 9 CME/CNE/CECH credits.
Q: How will I access the on-demand sessions?
A: If you are looking for a session that occurred live during the online broadcast, those recordings will be available within 24 hours of the conclusion of the live broadcast that day. Bonus on-demand content will be released October 27.
Q: How do I claim credit for participating in CIOctober?
A: This information will be provided closer to the meeting.
Q: Will my accepted abstract still be presented?
A: Yes. Authors with accepted abstracts will have the opportunity to submit their poster as a PDF or image for display on our virtual platform. More detail will be provided in your abstract acceptance letter. If you have any questions, please reach out to ceastman@naccme.com.
