World Conference on Interventional Oncology: Argentina 2014
The Best of WCIO: Argentina 2014 will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 16 to 17, 2014, as part of the international CME program of the World Conference on Interventional Oncology (WCIO). This is the first time that such important meeting will take place in Latin America, offering a practical approach to the state-of-the-art therapies in cancer treatment.
The scientific program will include lectures, workshops, and hands-on sessions related to each aspect of practice in interventional oncology, and also hot topic sessions that will cover the most relevant subjects in modern multidisciplinary oncology management, with simultaneous English-Spanish translation.
A renowned faculty of highly qualified international speakers will offer lectures on medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and interventional oncology. The latest advances and new developments in the field of interventional oncology, such as Y90 radioembolization, drug-eluting beads, and novel ablative technologies will be discussed along with established treatment options.
Controversial issues and case presentations organized on plenary tumor boards will allow an intense discussion among participants, in a provocative atmosphere, together with the faculty.
A strong attendance from across Latin America and worldwide is expected to enrich the scientific content and social exchange of our community of clinicians, surgeons, and interventional radiologists that will enjoy not only the conference but also an amazing stay in Buenos Aires during the springtime. Buenos Aires is a fascinating city with fine arts, exquisite restaurants, passionate sports, diverse shopping, amusing nightlife, and a modern Latin American atmosphere waiting to be discovered. An active social program for attendees and their guests that includes tango dancing lessons by professional dancers will be offered during the congress.
Different surgical, interventional, and oncologic scientific societies as well as the University of Buenos Aires have endorsed and/or given CME credits to the Best of WCIO: Argentina 2014, as a unique educational opportunity for Latin American and worldwide physicians.
