The Second Mediterranean Interventional Oncology Live Symposium, MIOLive 2017
The second Mediterranean Interventional Oncology Live Symposium will take place in Rome, Italy, from Monday January 30 to Tuesday January 31, 2017 (www.miolive.eu).
The MIOLive 2017 meeting will be a forum for presenting and discussing new relevant developments in interventional oncology and locoregional treatments. This year will focus on liver-directed therapy for hepatic malignancies.
It will be a practical, interactive meeting based on live cases spaced out with short presentations and lectures, where professionals from various countries of the Mediterranean area will be able to share opinions, experiences, research projects, and the valued mentor of several international experts. All live treatments will be selected and planned after discussion during “Interactive Multidisciplinary Treatment Decision.” Participants will be able to actively discuss treatment strategies guided by the mixed-specialty panel.
To ensure a vivid, fruitful, and balanced scientific discussion, we have created a Multidisciplinary International Scientific Committee, composed not only of eminent interventional radiologists, but also a gastroenterologist, a surgeon, and a radiation oncologist. We will have a “ten commandements" session on ablation, chemoembolization, and radioembolization, explaining what you have to know and do when performing those procedures, and a mortality and morbidity session to learn from complications and errors, to modify behavior and judgement based on previous experiences and to prevent repetition of errors leading to complications.
Finally, we also introduced an abstract session: “Broaden Your Horizons and Be Innovative,” in which participants will share experience on new techniques, innovative skills, or improved methods (free registration for successful applicants).
The meeting will be endorsed by Interventional Section of Italian Radiological Society (SIRM) and by the Mediterranean Association of the Study of Liver (MASL – Mediterranean Association for Study of Liver disease).
We know that the transportation to the conference venue is a very important thing and we hope that the proximity of two airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) and a large number of flights will help you in reaching the decision to participate in MIOLive 2017!
Early registration deadline: December 1, 2016
We are looking forward to meeting you in MIOLive 2017, Rome, Italy!
