Integrated Delivery Network Extends Partnership With EHR Company
In an effort to provide an integrated clinical and financial platform, Heritage Valley Health System, a multi-million dollar integrated delivery network, has signed a 10-year extension and expansion agreement with Allscripts, a health information technology company that provides integrated electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
"We are pleased that Heritage Valley Health System has renewed and expanded its partnership with Allscripts," Paul M. Black, chief executive officer of Allscripts, said in a statement. "We are committed to aligning with Heritage Valley Health System’s efforts to create an integrated platform and supporting its consumer and population health initiatives.”
Heritage Valley Health System is a $535 million integrated delivery network. Heritage Valley consists of 4400 employees and more than 530 physicians. The health system offers a range of medical, surgical, and diagnostic services. These services are available across Heritage Valley’s three hospitals, more than 60 physician offices, and over 21 community satellite facilities.
The 10-year agreement will provide a complete integrated clinical and financial platform that includes Allscripts Sunrise EHR, Sunrise Financial Manager, dbMotion Solution, and Allscripts EPSi. These services will be used by Heritage Valley’s physician practices, outpatient facilities and three hospitals that include Heritage Valley Sewickley, Heritage Valley Beaver and its new facility, Ohio Valley Hospital.
Currently Allscripts Sunrise is used across the globe. The EHR connects all clinical and financial aspects of care that include inpatient, emergency, surgery, and outpatient. The EHR is a physician-friendly, mobile and evidence-based signle platform that includes financial solutions and analytics. Similarly, the dbMotions Solution aggregates data from disparate source systems and delivers it in a usable and actionable format at the point of care. And finally, the EPSi platform is designed to deliver actionable insights that enable hospitals and health system to manage costs, optimize budget and long-range planning, and improve margins.
“This is an incredible opportunity for our organization to use a high-performing EHR to create a single integrated patient record," said Norm Mitry, chief executive Office of Heritage Valley Health System. "The power of Allscripts Sunrise combined with the population health and financial decision support of dbMotion and EPSi, will continue to help us meet key meaningful use deadlines and deliver the best quality care for the patients and communities we serve."
