“Cath Lab and Beyond” Course Successful

They came from near and far to participate in the September 2017 Cath Lab and Beyond course, a 35-hour educational offering designed for nurses and technologists new to the cath lab setting. Cath lab staff from California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Minnesota, and South Carolina completed this 4.5-day course in Sacramento, California. Sponsored by the Continuing Education Consortium, the Cath Lab and Beyond course is taught by cardiovascular experts who love to share their knowledge. Using a case study approach, cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics are reviewed in detail. Treatments and interventions are discussed. Techniques for diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures are highlighted. It’s a great way to shore up that beginning cath lab knowledge!
