Healthcare lobbyists rank among big spenders

Four of the top 10 big spenders in politics come from the healthcare field. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield collective organization of insurance carriers and the American Medical Association have generously opened their wallets for political causes. Just those two organizations alone total $22.8 million in lobbying cash.
