Stepping Stones Group Acquires STAR of CA

The Stepping Stones Group on Monday announced that it has acquired STAR of CA, a California-based provider of applied behavior and analysis and mental health services in home, community and school-based settings.

STAR will operate as a Stepping Stones subsidiary. STAR co-founder, president and CEO Doug Moes, PhD, BCBA-D, will take on the role of Stepping Stones Group Autism Division president while continuing to oversee STAR of CA and the newly created Stepping Stones Autism Group (which will provide services outside of California).

STAR is Stepping Stones’ second acquisition in the autism services provider space. In September, the company acquired New England ABA.

Stepping Stones Group provides therapeutic and behavioral health services to children, including those with special needs and autism, and serves 500 clients and 115,000 students in 30 states each year.
