Seaside Healthcare Acquires Strategic Interventions

Seaside Healthcare has continued its expansion in North Carolina, announcing this week that it has acquired mental health services company Strategic Interventions. The deal, which became effective Nov. 1, follows Seaside’s acquisition of Faith in Families last month.

Donna Duggins, a 25-year industry veteran who joined Strategic Interventions in 2010, will serve as Strategic’s executive director.

Strategic provides assertive community treatment teams (ACTT) to help those with serious mental illness obtain adequate care in their communities. The company also offers a psychosocial rehabilitation program.

“Their multi-county clinic locations and the proven services they provide fit well with Seaside Healthcare’s approach to delivering accessible, high quality, patient- and family-centric, community-based mental health and substance use treatment services,” Seaside CEO Franklin Roemer said of Strategic Interventions in a news release.

Seaside’s portfolio of programs now serves communities in North Carolina, Georgia and Texas, as well as Louisiana, where the company is headquartered.
