Emily Program, Veritas Collaborative Announce Merger

A pair of eating disorder treatment programs have announced plans to merge. The Emily Program, which is based in St. Paul, Minnesota, and operates facilities in Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, is linking up with Veritas Collaborative, which operates out of Durham, North Carolina, and has programs in Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia.

Financial terms of the deal, which is expected to close within 60 days, were not disclosed.

Emily and Veritas will retain their branding in their respective markets. The new combined company will operate a total of 20 facilities, with outpatient individual, group and family services, as well as intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization and residential programs, and inpatient care. The company will offer gender-inclusive programming for children, adolescents and adults.

The Emily Program’s Dave Willcutts will serve as CEO of the combined organization, which will be based out of St. Paul. Veritas CEO Mike Browder moves to the newly combined board of directors. Veritas board chair Chad Durbin will retain the same role with the new board, and Emily Program founder Dirk Miller will take on the title of founding executive chairman.
