Qualifacts expands clientele, meets preliminary certification requirements

Nashville, TN — Qualifacts Systems, Inc., announced a record quarter for sales as behavioral health and human service providers accelerated adoption of the company’s SaaS (Software as a Service) EHR (Electronic Health Record) platform.

Highlights from new business include:

- 11 new contracts across six established states;
- Provider EHR collaboratives in New Jersey, West Virginia, Ohio and Minnesota all added members; and
- Selection by 2nd largest county health department in Illinois brings the total number of states where Qualifacts serves customers to 19.

Qualifacts’ implementation teams kept pace with a record number of customer “go-lives” during the same period. Highlights include:

- Seven providers with more than 2,000 combined users in over 100 locations went live on CareLogic; and
- As part of these projects, 27 new features were added to the CareLogic Enterprise platform.

Behavioral Healthcare Partners of Central Ohio (BHPCO), a new customer, went live on CareLogic Enterprise on July 1 after only a seven-month implementation involving 180 users across five locations. Ken Billig, IT director for BHPCO said, “CareLogic provides our community-based staff a better opportunity to do concurrent documentation from the field via mobile devices. It’s a real time-saver, and the employees really like that functionality.”

The record quarter also featured three other significant milestones:

In August, CareLogic Enterprise was inspected by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) and is a certified EHR Module, IFR Stage 1, preliminarily meeting all 10 of the requirements applied for of the 24 requirements for Eligible Providers published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the Interim Final Rule of January 2010.

“This shows that we have taken the steps necessary to demonstrate not only our commitment, but also substantive progress towards EHR technology certification,” says Gregg Boyle, chief technology officer for Qualifacts.

Also this past quarter, students at Nashville’s Hillwood High School began using the CareLogic EHR in the classroom, and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce named Qualifacts one of the 2010 Future 50 companies.
