Brookdale Appoints CEO, Adds 2 to Executive Team

Brookdale Premier Addiction Recovery in Scotrun, Pennsylvania, has announced the appointment of Amy L. Durham, MEd, as the organization’s chief executive officer. Durham arrives at Brookdale with 15 years of senior management experience, most recently serving as a corporate director for Caron Treatment Centers.

In a news release announcing the hire, Ed Abraham, chairman of Brookdale’s board, noted Durham’s background in strategic planning and organizational development, which he said will help the organization as it looks to build partnerships within the industry, develop new programming and expand its presence nationally.

Brookdale announced two other additions to its executive leadership team:

• Chief marketing officer Ed Allen, who has been with Brookdale since it was founded in 2019 and has 20 years of sales, marketing and operations experience, has been appointed vice president of operations.
• Senior business development director John Knowles, a professional, clinician, interventionist and administrator for 30 years, has been named Brookdale’s executive director.

Located on a 100-acre property in the Pocono Mountains, Brookdale offers drug and alcohol detox, residential addiction treatment, and family educational programming.
