Acadia Acquires Adventist Health Vallejo in California

Acadia Healthcare has signed an agreement to acquire the hospital and behavioral health services of Adventist Health Vallejo, which has operated in Vallejo, California, for nearly 25 years.

Adventist is a 61-bed psychiatric hospital that has been operated as a service of Adventist Health St. Helena, providing inpatient and outpatient care, with short-term psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults. The facility also provides partial hospitalization services for adults with psychiatric needs or are dependent on alcohol, drugs or prescription medications. Adventist staff and associates will be retained, per terms of the sale, which is expected to receive regulatory approval by mid-2021.

The largest standalone behavioral health company in the U.S., Acadia operates a network of 227 facilities across 40 states, with a total capacity of 9,900 beds.
