How I Treat: Crohn's Disease Case Presentation

Refractory Perianal Crohn's Disease
David Schwartz, MD, Director, Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, and Sara Horst, Associate Professor, Vanderbilt University Sara

Case Report:

Perianal and/or fistulizing Crohn's disease is one of the most challenging complications a gastroenterologist can face. Patients with this condition have the lowest health-related quality of life among patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Drs David Schwartz and Sara Horst from the Vanderbilt University Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center discuss how they approach these complex cases, and the importance of imaging to help detect refractory inflammation.
