Hazelden and HealthWorks Northwest combine forces

Hazelden, the national nonprofit addiction treatment provider, has acquired the assets of HealthWorks Northwest, a multidisciplinary practice in Beaverton, Ore.

"We very much look forward to combining our expertise and talents," said Hazelden CEO Mark Mishek in announcing the acquisition. "Together, we can expand the reach of our services and broaden our knowledge of evidence-based best practices, especially in addressing the national epidemic of opioid addiction, and bring hope, health and healing to more people."

HealthWorks Northwest provides outpatient addiction treatment, Medication Assisted Treatment, Medication Assisted Relapse Prevention, pain management and psychiatric care for a wide range of mental health issues, including sexual trauma, PTSD and eating disorders.

"We are extremely excited about this combination, and feel there will be great benefit to patients of both organizations and to the community as a whole," said Drs. Paul Conti and Andy Mendenhall, founding partners of HealthWorks Northwest and newest members of the Hazelden team.
