Prevalence of Low-Grade UTUC in Patients With Bladder Cancer

Maria Asimopoulos

Bladder Cancer in Veterans

Bladder cancer is the fourth most commonly diagnosed cancer in US veterans. Symptoms can include blood in urine, fatigue, and abdominal pain, among others.

"As low-grade tumors develop, they may lead to symptoms such as urinary obstruction and/or hematuria, both of which need to be addressed," researchers say. "In a minority of cases, low-grade tumors can progress to high-grade disease, become locally invasive, and then metastasize."
