VDM 2012: A New Beginning

Vascular Disease Management originated as a natural response to the rapid evolution in vascular therapies at the turn of the century. It began as a bimonthly print journal with the first issue in September/October 2004. By January 2010, it evolved into its present day monthly online-exclusive format and a new multimedia element was added on the VDM website in December 2011 whereby relevant on-camera interviews and podcasts became available.

The most recent and exciting development at this moment is the brand new tablet application that will undoubtedly enhance our appeal as VDM finds its way into the most current digital formats and mobile device accessibility for the benefit of the entire vascular community.

Throughout its 8-year history and evolution, VDM has remained faithful to its core features of peer review and multidisciplinary collaboration. In fact, it was the first vascular publication to embrace and champion the “team approach” that has since become the hallmark of modern vascular medicine. We remain totally committed on this path and as always, reader feedback and suggestions are sought and most welcome.
