Tracey Vlahovic DPM

Can you identify the condition in the photo on the left?

The condition usually arises before the age of 30 and demonstrates a 2:1 female to male predominance. The characteristic presentation is that of an annular flesh-colored to erythematous plaque with a slightly raised popular border. One to four lesions are the norm with this condition, which most commonly involves the hands and feet. A localized presentation may respond to potent topical steroids or intralesional injection with triamcinolone.

Which of the following is your diagnosis?

a) Idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis
b) Erythema nodosum
c) Granuloma annulare
d) Palmar plantar erythema
e) Urticaria

Please leave your answer in the comment section below. I will share the answer in the next couple of days on Facebook and Twitter, and at the end of my next blog.
