Examining a Vaccine for One of the Top 10 Global Health Threats

Dengue is the fastest spreading mosquito-borne viral disease and was recently designated as one of the World Health Organization’s top 10 threats to global health. Derek Wallace, MBBS, vice president and global dengue program head at Takeda, discusses the impact of dengue on global health and the progress of Takeda’s dengue vaccine candidate, TAK-003, including results from the ongoing pivotal Phase 3 trial and a completed Phase 2 trial recently published in The Lancet.
