CT Imaging Agent Shortage Resolved, Two Presentations Discontinued

On Tuesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that after having been in a state of shortage since October of 2012, barium sulfate for suspension is no longer in shortage.

The following presentation from Bracco Diagnostics is now available: Liquid E-Z-Paque Barium Sulfate Suspension (60% w/v, 41% w/w), NDC 32909-186-01.

At the same time, the following presentation of barium sulfate for suspension from Bracco Diagnostics have been discontinued:

  • Entero-H Barium Sulfate Suspension (80% w/v, 49% w/w), NDC 32909-147-01;
  • Liquid Polibar Barium Sulfate Suspension (100% w/v, 56% w/w), NDC 32909-164-01.
