In this video, Vaughn McCall, MD, MS, Case-Distinguished Chair of Psychiatry, Executive Vice-Dean, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, Atlanta, Georgia, discusses his recent presentation at the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Annual Meeting “Addressing Insomnia in Psychiatric Practice: A Modifiable Risk Factor for Suicidal Ideation,” which reflected on the relationship between sleep problems, including insomnia and suicide.
Vaughn McCall, MD, MS is the Case-Distinguished Chair of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, he serves as Executive Vice-Dean of MCD. McCall holds a Masters in Epidemiology from Wake Forest University and is triple board certified in general psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and sleep medicine.
