IAPRD Committee Asks for Perspectives on Tardive Dyskinesia Treatment

The International Association of Parkinson’s and Related Disorders (IAPRD) has assembled a committee to examine current perspectives on the use of ‘tardive dyskinesia’. Some experts favor retaining the term tardive dyskinesia due to its widespread use and inclusion in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).  Other experts favor changing the overall name to improve diagnostic accuracy and precision.

Our committee’s charge is to obtain better insight directly from the prescribing community.
