Sana Symposium to Highlight Key Developments in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy

Tom Valentino, Digital Managing Editor

With the potential of psychedelics in therapy gaining momentum, the Sana Symposium, an online summit produced by HMP Global scheduled for October 26-27, will unite experts across key practice fields to highlight results in psychedelic therapies to treat mental health disorders.

Psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and addiction treatment professionals will convene to share research updates and provide a multi-perspective view on the potential application and approaches of psychedelic therapies.

“Our patients are coming to us asking about the research in psychedelics,” event Co-Chair Andrew Penn, RN, MS, NP, CNS, APRN-BC, clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco, said in a news release. “As clinicians, we want the best possible treatment for our patients, which could include psychedelics. The field is evolving quickly, and Sana Symposium is an opportunity for mental health professionals to immerse themselves in the potential use of these therapies.”

Now in its third year, the Sana Symposium is designed and accredited for all members of the mental health and addiction treatment communities. Attendees can earn up to 13.25 CME/CE credits.

The Symposium will include educational sessions on both current and future psychedelic therapies, exploring the design of treatments to optimize patient outcomes, accessibility and affordability challenges, and the use of psychedelics in substance use disorder treatment.
