What to Expect at the 6th Annual Oncology Clinical Pathways Congress
The 6th Annual Oncology Clinical Pathways Congress kicks off this weekend in a fully virtual format. Join us for three days of engaging sessions starting October 1, 2021.
The Oncology Clinical Pathways Congress, the official congress of the Journal of Clinical Pathways, serves as a forum for all professionals involved in the pathway development process.
The landscape of cancer care is rapidly evolving, and oncology pathways play a critical role in defining how we treat our patients. This meeting offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for all of those in the cancer care field to come together and make a positive impact on the future of patient care.
The congress runs from October 1-3, 2021, offering three days of engaging sessions led by world-class faculty, motivated to help improve patient outcomes, learn how to measure outcomes, and explore ways to partner and expand pathway programs. View the full agenda.
Winston Wong, PharmD, W-Squared Group, kicks off day 1 of the congress with a discussion on the findings from the Journal of Clinical Pathways Benchmarking Survey, a survey of real-world pathways stakeholders that reveal the current landscape of clinical pathways use in oncology practice.
In addition, join experts from Kaiser Permanente, MD Anderson, Yale Cancer Center, and Aurora Health as they discuss clinical pathway utilization in integrated delivery systems.
Day 2 features a session exploring ways in which clinical pathways can incorporate genetic testing and counseling into oncological treatment. Later in the day, Mishellene Mckinney, MHA, RN, OCN, Kaiser Permanente, and colleagues discuss how Kaiser Permanente is using Human Centered Design to inform cancer care delivery and survivorship pathway design.
Day 3 kicks off with representatives from a health system and a payer organization who will present their unique viewpoints on the adoption and scale of oncology clinical pathways. In addition, Valerie P. Csik, MPH, CPPS, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Health, discusses the implementation of clinical pathways and strategies to embed pathways into a broader quality program.
