VariAx 2 Clavicle
The VariAx 2 Clavicle Plating System provides surgeons with a comprehensive range of antomic plating options that work with a common instrument and screw platform. Plates utilize SmartLock Technology which permits polyaxial screw placement. You can angle locking screws up to 15° in each direction for a total range of 30° providing you with the flexibility to position screws based on the patient’s needs, not on the plate’s pre-existing design.

The VariAx 2 Clavicle System offers a range of midshaft and lateral plates which are anatomically contoured to the superior or anterior surface of the bone. Additionally, the surgeon has a choice of different plate curvatures designed to fit various anatomies. Finally, these plates accept either 3.5mm or 2.7mm non-locking or locking screws Only non-locking screws may be placed in the oblong holes of the plate. Circular holes accept either locking or non-locking screws.
Midshaft
• A. Increased and decreased curvature to accommodate different medial to lateral curvatures
• B. The Bridge Plates are designed with suture holes which may be used to help reduce and hold comminuted fracture fragments
Lateral
• A. The superior lateral clavicle plate offers an optional fixed-angle aiming block that may be used to help guide the surgeon in placing screws in a reproducible divergent screw pattern.
Hook
• A. The hook is anatomically pre-contoured to fit the inferior aspect of the acromion.

• Core tray includes one set of T8/T10 screws plus standardized instrumentation and reduction instruments.
• Add-on trays hold the comprehensive range of plating options designed to accommodate a certain procedure. Add-on trays include: Wrist, Elbow, Clavicle, Foot, and Small Fragment.
• Color coded screws and instruments designed to easily identify screw diameter, screw type, and corresponding instrumentation. A black laser marking on the screw head indicates a locking screw.
