Identifying Disparities in Genetic Testing Among Patients With Ovarian Cancer

Eloise Chapman-Davis, MD, Division of OB/GYN and Gynecologic Oncology, Weill Cornell Medicine-New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY, discusses her research on existing disparities in genetic counseling in ovarian cancer, finding that less than half of patients with newly diagnosed breast or ovarian cancer receive germline testing, despite NCCN guideline recommendations. This study also highlights the need for better access to genetic services among underserved and minority populations.

This research was presented at the 2022 ASCO Annual Meeting.
