Evaluating Real-World Utilization of ctDNA Testing in the Management of Patients With Colorectal Cancer

Kristin Savill, PhD, Cardinal Health, Dublin, OH, discusses her survey-based study that evaluated the utilization of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) testing in the management of colorectal cancer (CRC) among practicing community oncologists in the US.

Findings from this study demonstrate a limited adoption of ctDNA testing by community oncologists in the care of patients with CRC due to insufficient demonstration of clinical utility, limited familiarity with methodology, and reimbursement issues.
