#COA2019: The Most Comprehensive Meeting for Community Oncology

COAThe 2019 Community Oncology Conference will focus on ensuring quality, affordable, and accessible cancer care. This will include 2 days full of learning and networking with community oncology practices and allied professionals from across the country. Speakers will share insights on how to overcome the challenges you face on a daily basis—from providing care to patients to keeping the doors of your practice open. 

The Community Oncology Conference is organized by community oncology for community oncology, with community oncology providers, administrators, staff, pharmacists, nurses, and advocates working together to develop program speakers and activities that address the unique issues facing community oncology in the real world.

Four separate tracks—clinical, business, advocacy, and pharmacy—will feature over 45 expert sessions planned by leaders working in that specific sector. With more than 1400 attendees, regardless of your role, you will meet others facing the same challenges you face and be able to take something back that benefits your practice and the patients you serve.

Some agenda highlights from #COA2019 include:

  • Clinical track: Hear from leading experts on novel therapeutic interventions like CAR T-cell therapy and proton therapy, and clinical and reimbursement issues in the era of biosimilars. 
  • Business track: Learn about new payment models, Medicare reimbursement changes, managing step therapy, and marketing your practice. 
  • Pharmacy track: Stay ahead of pharmacy, payer, and regulatory trends—get the latest on meeting USP <800> compliance and overcoming pharmacy benefit manager barriers to patient care.
  • Advocacy track: Learn strategies for reaching policymakers at the national and local levels; gain a better understanding of the cost drivers of cancer care and site of care differences as well as clinical trials in the community setting.

The 2019 Community Oncology Conference will take place April 4-5, 2019, at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in beautiful and sunny Orlando, Florida.
